CSI Financial Services: Product Manager – Financial Services Information
The Product Manager position will report directly to the Executive Vice President of CSI Financial Services and is based in New York. The candidate may have the opportunity to initially work remotely (from home), though he or she will spend a significant amount of time at customer sites and may eventually report to a customer or CSI site located in New York City. The ideal candidate seeking employment with CSI will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a winning attitude. The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with application development to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support CSI’s overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager should possess the following:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services enterprise information
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in product marketing or a related discipline
Domain Expertise:
- Technical background and extensive experience in Market Data
- Understanding and knowledge of the Financial Services Industry
- Experience working with Financial Services Institutions
- Experience working with Market Data providers like: Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg and IDC
- Deep knowledge of Market Data and Enterprise Information products.
Skills:
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products in the Financial Services Information and Market Data industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Superior customer relationship skills
- Natural sales acumen
The product manager is expected to:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Be an expert with respect to the competition
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Perform product demos to customers
- Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Deliver a periodic product revenue forecast
- Develop sales tools and collateral
- Propose an overall budget to ensure success
- Brief and train other SME’s on CSI products
- Act as a leader within the company
