CSI TriSano® 2.0 gives public health officials a quick start when managing pandemics and outbreaks
Collaborative Software Initiative (CSI), the company that introduced the market-changing collaborative approach to building and deploying enterprise software products at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods, today announced customers can jump-start their H1N1 surveillance with the CSI TriSano® 2.0 H1N1 Surveillance Starter Kit.
For the first time Collaborative Software Initiative has brought together all of the essential components for pandemic surveillance and outbreak management into one bundle. For public health officials looking to immediately deploy surveillance and outbreak management of H1N1, the H1N1 Surveillance Starter Kit provides that and more. The H1N1 Surveillance Starter Kit includes preconfigured H1N1 data collection web-based forms, sample H1N1 reports/OLAP analysis, PHIN compliant CDC reports, the H1N1 Surveillance Starter Kit Guide and custom consulting services, all designed to work together to enable public health professionals to monitor the disease and share the information across jurisdictions.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, flu activity is widespread in 32 states. Nationally, visits to doctors for influenza-like-illness are still higher than expected for this time of year with flu-related hospitalizations and deaths still very high nation-wide compared to what is expected for this time of year.
“By offering our public health customers Surveillance Starter Kits,” said Stuart Cohen, CEO, Collaborative Software Initiative. “CSI is serving up a way for public health officials to focus their energies on the most prevalent outbreaks and the analysis of those outbreaks, thus allowing them to move from time-consuming data collection activities to the implementation of outbreak mitigation.”
CSI TriSano®2.0 H1N1 Surveillance Starter Kit (http://csinitiative.com/products/trisano/h1n1) is generally available now. A second starter kit, the CSI TriSano®2.0 STD Surveillance Starter Kit will be available first quarter 2010.
