Because the CSI FeedHandler suite of products are delivered with source code (under the GPL) and built with a simple, modular architecture, isolating and correcting problems is straightforward and simple. The CSI FeedHandler architecture provides flexible mechanisms for the delivery of alerts, errors, and exceptional conditions (both data source generated and feed handler detected) via SNMP or special messages inserted into the feed data stream. Simple Configuration and Management
CSI FeedHandler shares a common configuration facility driven from a single config file for each feed handler. A monitor process starts and stops the line handler processes, collects statistics (per the configuration files settings) and can write them to a log file or publish them as a standard SNMP MIB for inclusion in any monitoring framework. Plug-in hooks allow for programmatic configuration and monitoring through the publishing middleware as an alternative to the CSI FeedHandler standard tools if desired.
