CSI SIG provides capabilities to import Questionnaire Definition XML documents into the system. A Responses XML document can also be used since it contains question information. CSI SIG is preloaded with the most current version of the BITS SIG questionnaire. It also contains a sample instance, or response set.
An instance is a response set where the SIG questions are answered. CSI SIG provides capabilities to create a new instance, copy instances, delete instances, import instances, and export instances. The export can be in either XML or PDF format or both.

Additional Information A user may add additional free-form text to any question for comments, rationale, or supporting information. These are sent to the reviewing financial institution. |
Private Notes A user may add private notes to any question. These notes are not sent to the reviewing financial institution. |
File Attachments A user may upload file attachments to any question. These are sent to the reviewing financial institution. |
To enhance usability, CSI SIG displays questions that have already been answered in other related sections of the questionnaire.
CSI SIG supports comparing responses received from a service provider to a model set of responses, a model instance. There is flexibility when creating the model since questions can have an exact answer, have one of several possible answers, or be entirely ignored. A user with the compare permission may create a model SIG, which may be used to run a comparison report which flags responses based on various criteria. The model can also contain remediation instructions.
Any questionnaire can be described in the form of an XML document based on the CSI Questionnaire Definition Schema using any XML editor and used with CSI SIG.
CSI SIG is committed to supporting all updates and enhancements to the SIG. CSI SIG has the facility to import all relevant responses from a SIG document from a prior release and migrate the information into the current release.
