Questionnaire Manager for SIG (QM for SIG) provides capabilities to import Questionnaire Definition XML documents into the system. A Responses XML document can also be used since it contains question information. QM for SIG is preloaded with the most current versions of the Shared Assessments Program SIG questionnaire. It also contains a sample instance, or response set.
An instance is a response set where the SIG questions are answered. QM for SIG provides capabilities to create a new instance, copy instances, delete instances, import instances, and export instances. The import can be from a SIG in either Excel (Enterprise or Network Editions) or XML format. The export can be in either XML or PDF format or both.

QM for SIG (Enterprise or Network Editions) provides the capability to import a SIG questionnaire instance that has been created using the Excel version of the SIG. During the import, the instance responses are converted to the current version of the SIG (6.2). The original Excel SIG can be in version 5.0, 6.0 or 6.2 format. This allows institutions and their service providers to escape the limitations of the SIG in Excel format, preserve the investment they have made in the SIG, and quickly realize the advantages that QM for SIG offers.
To enhance usability, QM for SIG displays questions that have already been answered in other related sections of the questionnaire.
The SIG questionnaire contains high level questions that when answered may cause lower level questions and sections to become disabled. To enhance usability, these disabled questions and sections are grayed out in QM for SIG.
QM for SIG supports comparing responses received from a service provider to a model set of responses, a model instance. There is flexibility when creating the model since questions can have an exact answer, have one of several possible answers, or be entirely ignored. A user with the compare permission may create a model SIG, which may be used to run a comparison report which flags responses based on various criteria. The model can also contain remediation instructions.
Any questionnaire can be described in the form of an XML document based on the CSI Questionnaire Definition Schema using any XML editor and used with QM for SIG.
You can create domains in QM for SIG (Network Edition) for more granular access control. Domains in QM for SIG allow an outsourcing institution to support multiple service providers and their SIG responses in a single, shared QM for SIG system, or allow a service provider to support multiple outsourcing institutions that will evaluate their SIG responses in a single, shared QM for SIG system. You could also use domains within a single organization to separate different divisions, locations or functions.
QM for SIG is committed to supporting all updates and enhancements to the SIG. QM for SIG has the facility to import all relevant responses from a SIG document from a prior release and migrate the information into the current release.
