In order to access QM for SIG, user accounts and roles must be created. A role is a set of permissions that may be applied to one or more users. A user account consists of a username and password that are used as credentials for accessing QM for SIG. Upon installation, there is only one user account and one role setup. The user is admin with the password admin, and the role is administrators. This account has global permissions for setting up new users. Be sure to change the admin password promptly.
The QM for SIG Network Edition introduces the concept of domains. Domains in QM for SIG allow an outsourcing organization to support multiple service providers and their SIG responses in a single, shared QM for SIG system, or allows a service provider to support multiple outsourcing organizations that will evaluate their SIG responses in a single, shared QM for SIG system. You could also use it within a single organization to separate different divisions, locations or functions.
In addition, the administrator function is now provided at two levels, global administrators and domain administrators. One or more users can be defined as a global administrator. A global administrator can create domains and then create or update users to be domain administrators. A domain administrator can:
A role is a set of permissions that may be applied to one or more users. Each user must belong to at least one role in order to access QM for SIG. Permissions may be assigned globally or per page of a particular instance.
Creating a New Role Start by clicking on the Administration button in the upper right corner. Then click Role Administration from the options menu on the left. In the create role box, type a name to identify the role and click create role.
Next you will assign global or page permissions to the newly created role.
Modifying Roles
Once a role has been created, you will find the role listed in the roles box. If you have many roles, you may need to search for the role using the text box at the top of the page. When hovering over a role with your mouse, you may pick from 3 actions:

Users that are assigned roles with global permissions have access across all instances. There are 4 global permissions:
Domain Permissions
Users that are assigned roles with domain permissions have access across all instances in that domain. There are 4 domain permissions:
Page Permissions
Users that are assigned roles with page-level permissions have access to specified pages of an instance. Note that since a user may belong to several roles, permissions are ultimately determined by the combination of their roles. There are 3 page-level permissions:

Adding Roles to Users
After clicking the Manage this user’s roles button from the users box, select a role from the drop-down menu and click add role. You may add multiple roles to a user.
Deleting Roles From Users
After clicking the Manage this user’s roles button from the users box, hover the mouse pointer over the icon to the right of the role name and click to remove the role.
A domain consists of a name and a list of questionnaire versions that have been assigned to the domain.
Creating a New Domain
Start by clicking on the Administration button in the upper right corner. Then, from the options menu on the left, click Domain Management. In the create domain box, type the domain name and click create domain.
Next you will assign one or more questionnaires to the domain.

Adding Questionnaires to a Domain
After clicking the Assign questionnaires available to domain button from the domain, select one or more questionnaires listed and click save. You may add multiple questionnaires to a domain.
Deleting Questionnaires from a Domain
After clicking the Assign questionnaires available to domain button from the domain box, deselect one or more questionnaires listed and click save. You may delete multiple questionnaires from a domain.
